So far, hundreds of women have filed lawsuits against Johnson and Johnson, stating that talcum powder causes ovarian cancer. And yet, there is no sign of J&J recalling their baby powder products.

Is talcum powder dangerous?

For over forty years, there have been studies investigating and discussing the safety of baby powder when used as part of a feminine hygiene routine. The first evidence emerged in 1971, when one study discovered talc particles inside ovarian cancer tissues.

There is evidence showing Johnson and Johnson were warned about the dangers that talcum powder could cause to women but these were ignored. Scientists at J&J did their own studies and claimed that there was no link between talc and cancer, and it was completely safe to use. It is a great concern when outside studies claim that a product is dangerous and the company owning the product claim it’s entirely safe.

Rather than spending resources to ensure their talc was safe, J&J continued on as normal. They invested in more rigorous marketing tactics to promote their baby powder to more markets.

Even though there has been more discussions and research into the safety of talc on the human body, Johnson and Johnson has not recalled their baby powder.

Why has Johnson and Johnson not recalled their baby powder?

By refusing to accept their talcum powder products cause cancer, J&J avoid accepting responsibility.

J&J are protecting their investments and profits by not recalling their baby powder, and they’re risking the lives of women not only in the US, but also around the world.

Will there be a Johnson and Johnson baby powder recall in future?

It is difficult to predict what will happen in the future, but there is a strong suggestion that J&J will not recall their talcum powder products: Baby Powder or Shower to Shower.

Johnson and Johnson’s conduct has been irresponsible.

They’ve approached the FDA to try and clear the links between talcum powder and cancer. At every accusation, they’ve claimed their baby powder is safe and avoided any responsibility.

Have you, or a loved one, been affected by J&J baby powder? If you have developed ovarian cancer as a result, you could be eligible to file a lawsuit

Hundreds of women have filed lawsuits, claiming they have ovarian cancer after using talcum powder as part of their feminine hygiene routine. Many of these women used talcum powder over a continued number of years and they believe this has caused them to develop ovarian cancer.

There is strong evidence to suggest Johnson and Johnson were aware of the risks but preferred to benefit their own profits than care about the welfare of their consumers. They have used their wealth and political influence to avoid any blame.

It’s unfair you should suffer the consequences, when a company acted negligently. You have the opportunity to claim compensation and make J&J pay for their actions that have affected hundreds of US women.
